FIXED: Bug with Autonick

Hi!

I've been using LiCe for quite some time now, and there seems to be a bug when connecting to a IRC network where the previously used nickname is already taken.

This is reproduceable by connecting to an IRC network where a specific nickname is available - let's assume the EFnet. Now, when using "/server different.network.server.com" to connect to a different network where that specific nickname is already in use, LiCe seems to get confused.

In the status bar I get the message "" and in the chat window the following messages loop through:

## not_ Erroneous Nickname
## not__ Erroneous Nickname
## not___ Erroneous Nickname
## not____ Erroneous Nickname
## not_____ Erroneous Nickname
## _not____ Erroneous Nickname
## __not___ Erroneous Nickname
## ___not__ Erroneous Nickname
## ____not_ Erroneous Nickname
## _____not Erroneous Nickname
## t_____no Erroneous Nickname
## ot_____n Erroneous Nickname
## not_____ Erroneous Nickname
## not_____ Erroneous Nickname
## _not____ Erroneous Nickname
## __not___ Erroneous Nickname

This continues until the server disconnects. Or until one does a "/nick different_nickname".

Not really severe, but it would be great if you could fix this within any of the upcoming updates.

Thank you for all the great work on LiCe - it really rocks :)

Best,
Woodomat

Forums:

Thanks Woodomat, I'll have a look at this and let you know how I get on.
Will probably release a 5.1.3 correcting it for you.

Kind Regards,
tjh

I have fixed this in the latest SVN - will be in 5.2.0 final.
